Im delighted and thrilled to say I’m on the Shortlist for two categories, Blog of the Year ( and Radio DJ of the Year.

It’s great to see that someone recognises the work and time you put into something.

I’m absolutely thrilled especially when I was lucky to even be in college last semester after messing up my leg. Good ole DCUfm gave me something to look forward to and writing my blog was something I started taking seriously (well, you know what I mean) when I ended up in hospital. I had lots of time so I decided to write..

Super chuffed.. not sure what else to say.

So seeing as its Seachtain na Gaeilge I thought I’d start the show in Irish. So I did and was quite proud of the fact that I did this off the top of my head til about 5 minutes ago when I decided to listen to the recording and realised Duh! Everything went well, I introduced the show, Myself, said who I would be chatting to, then said i had some Kick ass ceol to play and then said ‘so I’d like to end the show with this’.. ye Eejit ye! not bad though for a language I haven’t spoken in 20 years.

So I’m going to start the show in Irish until I get it right! Then I’ll stop! Speaking in Irish, not the show!

Apart from me speaking ‘Irish’ here’s what went down.

1.DJ Flip & Freezemaster Slick: Crossroads (Culture Cafe Theme)
2. Miracle Bell: Fit For Love
3. Chat with Ronan from Pavesi
4. Pavesi: Turnaround Year
5. Romonov’s Goodbye: Goodby Letters
6. Chat with Jason Lambert of Fenian Folk
7. Storyfold: Delphine Wakes
8. Vampire Weekend: Giving Up The Gun
9. Chat with Aisling: Our Ear to the Beat
10. Von Bizmark: Address the Silence
11.Shakespears Sister: It’s A Trip.

More Gaeilge on Thursday!

Yet again armed with my flask of lemsip, THE SHOW MUST GO ON!!! (in the voice of Peter Dickson, XFactor voiceover man). THe show was also the subject of a Facebook debate on whether or not I’d play Crystal Swings ‘She Drinks Tequila’

2. Fiach: Every Single Day
3. Chat with Tom Cashman from DCU Games Soc who just released a new game called ‘Bandit’
4. I played a song but i cant remember which one…
5. Chat with Eugene Donegan
